Ohio Blizzard, Darke County, March 7-8, 2008

I have shoveled THREE times now...this last time through 2-3 foot drifts......it is still snowing very hard and blowing like crazy. I shoveled 3 foot PLUS barriers on each side of my drive...and packed the snow down.....so hopefully it won't drift over so bad this next time. Noah and I are obviously snug indoors!

WHY the name PHOTOGRAPHY FOR DUMMIES?

Because I don't know much about the digital cameras I have used over the years....and yet I am able to take photographs. I have never made it through my entire instruction manual for any of my cameras. I started out with a little cheap 1MP camera.....and progressed from there. I still only have a 5MP Lumix.

Can I explain much about the settings I use or how I captured the shots I have? No, not really. Does that negate the value of the photo? No, not really. They are what they are and can more than stand alone based on their own value.

I want this blog to inspire and encourage even those who think they are clueless or a "dummy" when it comes to taking pictures to just get out there and DO IT! After all if I can get these shots....I am pretty sure you could too!
