just marbles......

in a HUGE display at the Children's Medical Center. Someone had made big squares of metal cages that held all these gorgeous marbles.....and there was light inside.......a huge wall of them. You could not resist walking up to this giant wall of colored balls and then if you reached out and touched it......the balls would roll around underneath your fingertips but not fall out.

January's Jack Frost....

the moon - - January 23, 2008

Driving home from my grandmother's house my son and I noticed the moon! It was HUGE and very low in the sky and behind some amazingly dark, black clouds. It was nighttime and it reminded us of a harvest moon.......very yellow/gold in color. It was gorgeous so I had to quickly find a place to pull over and snap a few.

Here is one of those shots.

macro desk-size pocket watch

I don't think the title makes much sense.....but this is a great find I found at our local Goodwill store.....a clock that looks like a pocket watch but it sits on your desk. There was something about this clock I loved....I cannot explain it......but for 1.49 I got it. It works too! Here is a close up:




I used to collect old Big Ben or Baby Ben clocks.....maybe that has something to do with it.

Green Day...

With our recent spring-like temps it made me think about those green days we will be having very soon.....so here are a few shots from my parents' backyard from last year:

Bubble Lights up close....

I only got 2 shots where you could see true bubbles.....the rest the bubbles are all exploding and dancing around in streams on the views from my camera.....and it was very difficult to capture a clear shot. I know I need to change the settings on my camera to do this.....but right now I don't have time.







however I did find my fingerprints cool......so I had to take a couple shots of that......

I had put the shot here.....then wondered if there would be some weird psycho nut out there who would do something WITH my fingerprint....so I decided to NOT post that photo......

I see......

a reflection in my eye......can you see it? A lamp and my computer screen? I blew this shot up and will show it in B&W and color to see if you can make out the lamp and computer monitor screen reflecting in my eye

Ludlow Falls........

I stopped by Saturday hoping to still catch the falls frozen......or partially. I guess they still were but not as much as I would have liked. I should have gone about a week ago I suppose......but it was still beautiful.
