I love MACRO mode but these are NOT macro mode shots......I was forced to zoom in to capture most of the shots I took this day. I really wanted to devote my site to MACRO MODE only....but since MACRO mode titles were taken.....I figured what the heck I would post all sorts of photos. BUT don't be surprised if you DO see a lot of MACRO MODE.....I do love it. I had just watered some flowers at my grandmother's house and noticed this amazing butterfly enjoying the wet petals of her flowers......so I went inside and grabbed my camera and started shooting....
ANYWAY.......
on this shot I failed to capture the entire butterfly because in all honesty I was busy focusing on the fascinating body and antennae......the body reminds me of a bat outstretched if you look closely.....and it looks like it has furry legs that attach to the wings and little feet! The black and white antennae are pretty amazing too!

This one could sort of creep you out a bit....it looks like he is checking me out and look at his mouth! He was facing downward perched on a piece of wood on the back of her garage...

I like the contrasting colors here.....with the rays of sun on the flower bud......and deep, rich colors of the butterfly...

While not a great photograph I like it because I can see the sun glistening off his furry body! It looks like he has been sprinkled with gold dust.
