singing sunflowers.....

I passed the sunflower fields Monday....and had to pull off the road to take a few shots. They appear to have had the seeds harvested or the birds have had a feast! What is left reminded me of little mouths all open and singing. If you start to the left of the photograph and move your eyes to the right and back and forth around....the little "O-shaped" centers of the sunflowers do resemble mouths and they look like they are moving! The colors are vibrant too!

We came up yesterday to the museum so your Dad could take some photos of that man's paintings. We also stopped and took some photos.

Your Dad said the seeds are still there, the black part is like a skin that comes off but the seeds are there until they harvest them.

I guess I'll have to check that out.
Love you

These sunflowers are so wonderful. Like you said they look like faces. I've never seen so many sunflowers together.

Nice shot Melinda. The skin over the seeds will soon drop off, or split and pull back and then the black seeds will be visible. At least the little black oil are that way. If this is a field of big striped ones then it might be different.

Rained some here this afternoon and is hot and muggy.
