Thanks, Melinda. I posted my first BW... well, sort of. LOL! I couldn't figure out how to get the BW photo but found a charcoal/chalk feature on photoshop, which kinda worked. I've been told to look at the hue/saturate section, so that's what I'll do next time. ;-)
Because I don't know much about the digital cameras I have used over the years....and yet I am able to take photographs. I have never made it through my entire instruction manual for any of my cameras. I started out with a little cheap 1MP camera.....and progressed from there. I still only have a 5MP Lumix.
Can I explain much about the settings I use or how I captured the shots I have? No, not really. Does that negate the value of the photo? No, not really. They are what they are and can more than stand alone based on their own value.
I want this blog to inspire and encourage even those who think they are clueless or a "dummy" when it comes to taking pictures to just get out there and DO IT! After all if I can get these shots....I am pretty sure you could too!

Yes, very nice! Makes me want to play around with BW photos. Hmm... How did you take this photo of yourself?
just turned the camera my way and snapped
LOL! That easy? Cool! The photo looks so natural, I don't see a hint of you raising your arms to photograph yourself. ;-)

haha...yeah I guess I just know about where to put my arm and hands
LOL! I'll experiment. I don't plan on posting photos of myself but it will be fun to learn how to do it properly. ;-) Thanks and have a good Sunday!
