Well, you have a fair hand with a camera as well. It must be a Lincoln Family trait. I can take a decent photograph but my talents seems to lie in words and in music. However, my father is a professional photographer and two of my sisters seem to have inherited his Gift.

Because of the paralysis in my right hand I can no longer play the recorder, keyboards or guitar so I have bought a bodhran drum and am learning to play that by holding it under my right arm and using the stick with my left hand. (It's an Irish drum.) Also,I can still sing madrigals and polyphonic chant.

How is Noah? I have missed you so very much chara. I fly back to Tampa today so please pray for me.

Great to see you pop in! Noah is doing very well. He is to start school soon so we are preparing him for that!

I have stayed busy working and doing things around here. I think we are finally getting into a routine of sorts.

WHY the name PHOTOGRAPHY FOR DUMMIES?

Because I don't know much about the digital cameras I have used over the years....and yet I am able to take photographs. I have never made it through my entire instruction manual for any of my cameras. I started out with a little cheap 1MP camera.....and progressed from there. I still only have a 5MP Lumix.

Can I explain much about the settings I use or how I captured the shots I have? No, not really. Does that negate the value of the photo? No, not really. They are what they are and can more than stand alone based on their own value.

I want this blog to inspire and encourage even those who think they are clueless or a "dummy" when it comes to taking pictures to just get out there and DO IT! After all if I can get these shots....I am pretty sure you could too!
